Welcome to Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary
Rhodes Minnis Cat Sanctuary has been caring for unwanted and homeless cats since 1970. Based near Canterbury in Kent, UK, we take in cats from Kent, London, and beyond — from strays and abandoned pets to those whose owners can no longer care for them.
With around 150 cats in our care at any time and a proud non‑selective intake policy, we offer safety, compassion, and a second chance to every cat who arrives.
Since opening, we’ve found loving homes for more than 23,000 cats.

We welcome visitors every day during our opening hours:
10am–1pm
2pm–4pm
You are very welcome to come and spend time with the cats, even if you are not looking to rehome.
Many of our residents enjoy the company, and it’s a lovely way to get to know them.
Please be aware that some cats may bite or scratch, especially if they are nervous or easily startled.
Important: Members of the public must not feed any cats on site. Many are on special diets or have medical needs, and feeding them can cause harm.
